The main feature that
makes LED bulbs so very popular is that they are equivalent to a wattage much
higher than their actual wattage. A classic example of this is the Philips
GU10 LED 7W bulb. This Philips bulb falls under the dimmable line of
products. The 7 Watts bulb is equivalent to one of 50 Watts. Plus, it comes in
many colour output options such as warm white, cool white or very warm white
light and with a beam spread over anywhere between 25 and 40 degrees. The
dimmable quality of the Philips GU10 LED 7W bulb makes it possible to reduce
the brightness of the bulb to one tenth of its full capacity which translates
to energy saving up to 85%.
There are other LED
GU10 50W bulbs which refers to other smaller bulbs that are equivalent to
50 Watts. These include the 5.5 Watt Aurora non-dimmable bulb that gives off a
cool white coloured beam and is the perfect replacement for a halogen; the
Kosnic 5 Watt bulb that gives off a warm white coloured beam and is equivalent
to 50 Watts while being dimmable.
The advantage of these LED
GU10 50W bulbs is that they provide
bright lighting but cost only a fraction of the amount that such a light would
normally cost. This translates to greater savings without compromise on the
brightness of the lighting.
